These devices come with MySpool Internet Outage Detection Service. It can only be used with devices using faster and more powerful processors which allow MySpool devices to maintain a secure connection with our cloud services. This connection is monitored continuously and is used to send an Internet OFF alert in case of Internet Outage. When internet connectivity is restored, an Internet ON alert is sent. These alerts can be configured just like all other MySpool device alerts, with Text messages, multiple email recipients and available integrations.

Email messages are limited to one per minute per sensor.

Each Power Failure and Internet Outage Detector works independently with your WiFi network. Multiple devices can be placed in different locations throughout your home or business. Your notifications will include your text for each device that you specify in the device configuration.

Flexible design 
MySpool Power Failure and Internet Outage Detector will ignore short duration power fluctuations of less than 2 seconds so that no unnecessary notifications are sent. Note that since no device is permitted to send more than 1 alert per minute, your POWER ON notification may be delayed by up to 1 minute if power comes back on immediately. Each device requires 3 AAA batteries, included. The batteries should last 5 years or more assuming average power outages and fluctuations.

When the line drops at a building you are not standing in, what you lose is never the internet itself, it is everything running on top of it, and the clock does not start until somebody finally calls you.

This detector closes that gap. Plug it into any free LAN port on your router or switch, add power, and it begins reporting to the MySpool cloud several times a minute. Miss two check-ins and an Internet OFF alert goes out, usually within one to three minutes. Service returns and an Internet ON alert follows on its own. As an internet connection monitor for a site you cannot see, it needs nothing else: no app, no hub, no gateway, no bridge and no code.

Every event lands on a secure web page with a timestamp, so a line that has been unstable for a month becomes dates and times you can put in front of your provider rather than an impression you argue about. Set the outage interval anywhere from 2 to 30 minutes. Add up to five email addresses, one SMS number, and active hours so nothing wakes you.
