How to adjust sensitivity of the Non-contact sensor?
Steps:
- Remove the back cover of the sensor
- Locate the sensitivity knob inside
- Use a small screwdriver to turn the knob
Direction:
- Counter-clockwise → Increases sensitivity
- Clockwise → Decreases sensitivity
Important Caution:
Imagine the screw as a clock face — do not rotate more than 5 minutes' worth at a time (i.e., no more than 30° of rotation per adjustment).
Why small adjustments?
- Prevents over-correction
- Allows you to test the sensor's response between adjustments
- Avoids damaging the internal potentiometer
- Helps you fine-tune to the ideal sensitivity gradually
Tip: After each small adjustment, test in place and check the sensor's behavior before making further changes. If needed, repeat the 5-minute adjustment until optimal sensitivity is reached.
